In the fifth edition of the Best Global Universities Rankings of U.S. News & World Report, the University of Algarve was placed among the best higher education institutions at an international level, which published more than 1500 scientific articles, in the period from 2012 to 2016. In the indicators considered, UAlg stands out in the percentage of publications with international collaboration, occupying the 62nd position, being the best classification at a national level.
UAlg strengthens position in US ranking
In the restricted lot of 1250 universities selected from all over the world, it occupies the global position 905th and 7th at national level. This university ranking analysed 13 indicators to classify the higher education institutions of 75 countries, highlighting criteria related to research, scientific publication of the institutions and their national and international reputation.
The results now disclosed prove the good performance of the University of Algarve in the different university rankings, systematically marking its position among the best universities in the world.
