Overview
Nutrition in critically ill patients, whether medical or surgical, is undergoing a process of transformation, driven by the transition to modern models of medicine based on data, precision and multidisciplinary teams. The integration of new technologies — such as indirect calorimetry in metabolic assessment, continuous monitoring and decision algorithms — allows for a personalisedapproach, tailored to the rapidly changing physiology of the critically ill patient. The NutriPrecision: Precision Nutrition in Hospitalised Patients course responds to the need to train professionals from different areas — doctors, nurses, nutritionists, physiotherapists and pharmacists — in modern, technically rigorous and integrative nutritional practice.

Objectives

The course offers an in-depth review of the fundamental concepts of nutrition in critical, medical or surgical patients, with a strong practical component, enabling trainees to apply precision tools, interpret metabolic data and integrate nutritional interventions into multidisciplinary teams.
